Covid-19 Update
May 19 2020: The 8th bifiPV Workshop organizers have been closely monitoring issues related to COVID-19, more commonly known as coronavirus. As a result of these ongoing health issues, we have decided to postpone the conference until January 26-28, 2021. Our team will continue to closely follow these issues as the well-being of all conference participants is our highest priority.
All registered attendees who are unable to attend the workshop in January are eligible to receive a refund. Contact bifipvworkshop@pvel.com to request a refund. The organizers will respond to all refund requests within five business days.
Our organizing committee will follow the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) when making future decisions regarding the event. Decisions will be shared publicly on our event website and sent via email to registered participants.
Conditions regarding transmission of COVID-19 are likely to change as we approach the conference date. We will finalize a list of precautionary health and safety measures in the weeks immediately prior to the conference. Items currently under consideration include:
A no-handshake policy.
Availability of hand sanitizer, tissues and other important hygiene products throughout the conference.
Additional cleaning of all high-traffic areas of the conference venue.
Self-quarantine policy for participants who begin experiencing symptoms while at the event.
Attendees who are experiencing symptoms or who are traveling from high risk areas will be asked not to attend. Refunds will be available.
